Though an odd spectacle to behold, at a first glance, few would find Mirage worthy of her title as evil incarnate- or even that much of a threat. While a bizarre mesh of animal and human features, Mirage has a thin frame; an hourglass figure of sorts. Her torso is small and lean, and she has just the right amount of curve to her hips. Her body is shaped more human than animal, reflected in the fact she doesn't posses a tail. From a distance, or in the dark, some might even mistake her as a human woman...but the shape, along with the clothing she wears, are where her human features end. The rest of Mirage's appearance is a feral one; almost as wild as her savage personality.
For one thing, she has dark-grey fur- sometimes perceived as an interesting shade of skin tone, again from a distance- but once up close and personal, the truth becomes obvious. Her humanoid fingers end in claws, and her head is the most animal thing about her; the head of a fierce lioness. Her cruel eyes, one of her most striking features, are a bright green; accentuated by thick layers of blue makeup. She wears an Egyptian wig on top of her head- one that allows her feline ears room to stick out, and is accentuated in gold. A wig that greatly matches the rest of her egyptian ensemble- golden bands on her upper arms, a two-piece, form-fitting sleeveless red dress, and sandals of some kind.
Her entire appearance screams ancient Egyptian roots, and Mirage bears some resemblance to the feline deities spoken of in legend; leaning more toward Sekhmet with the color of the dress, and her similar vicious streak.
It is Mirage's personality that reflects just why she is considered by some to be 'evil incarnate'- she is a cold, cruel, heartless thing who takes immense pleasure in the suffering of others. While most villains have at least some reason to be the way they are to others, Mirage simply does things for the sake of being evil. She is a sadist, and more than willing to ruin and destroy the lives of others just because she was bored, felt like it, or they 'had too much going for them'. Goodness and virtue are things she outright despises, because they are different than the evil and carnage she stands for. True love, in particular, is one of those virtuous things that is nasty little feline cannot stand. She takes special enjoyment in watching love die and testing people along until they crumble- so that she can show just how 'pathetic' a sentiment love is and how it could never stand up to wickedness like her own.
Mirage is also a very boastful creature, unable to refrain from rubbing her victim's noses in what she's certain is her grand victory. She never misses the opportunity to torment a foe face to face, or offer them a few chances to try and give her a run for her money. She enjoys a bit of challenge to some minor degree, though the main reason she gives chances is because she doesn't think they will save those she chooses to attack. Really, it's another measure of pride for her own ego, and something to hold against the unlucky hero or heroine that crosses her path. She never believes she is going to lose, and when she does, oh boy, does she throw a tantrum. Most times she will retreat, out of the shock she's been played for a fool, though sometimes it turns into anger. Such as, Mirage can become quite obsessive over those who have beaten her in any way..and dedicate a lot of time and energy into breaking their will and/or destroying them.
She is an opportunistic monster as well, never missing the chance to use relics, minions, etc to help her in her goals- which are simply to cause chaos, help evil spread, and ruin the lives of others. However, she is not the most wonderful ally to have. Mirage cares little for others, and puts herself first and foremost. She is not above throwing minions and allies to their deaths, or betraying them. Any 'business' deals with Mirage are hit or miss- either they work out in favor of both parties, or they work out just for Mirage. Either way, she's a conniving thing, so it's best to be careful with her. There are probably feelings in there somewhere, as it is known that at one time she had the capability to love another...but, her heart has blackened over time, and likely only been helped along by her magic. So whatever exists is very, very deep inside- and you're a fool if you think you'll coax anything but wickedness out of her as she currently stands.

Mirage's origins are questionable; nobody is quite sure just where she came from, although she wasn't always the current 'evil incarnate' in the land of sand. She even loved another, Phasir, once upon a time- so presumably, Mirage used to be a more normal, less evil creature. Perhaps she was once a sorceress of sorts in ancient Egypt, and offered up her soul and humanity to one of the more volatile beings. Such as the deity her appearance seems to represent more, Sekhmet, in exchange for power beyond her wildest dreams. Or, maybe she was always a feline creature. Either way, Mirage was consumed by her power somewhere along the way; opting for a dark path instead of the way the cyclops she used to care for wanted. She left behind all compassion, any goodness that had once been within her, and allowed her heart to harden and blacken.
Eventually, she rose to the position of evil incarnate- violently seizing the title from the last creature that had held it. Once she settled into the position, Mirage discovered that she quite liked the job- how she felt about it was as close to love as she dared to get anymore. Causing chaos and destruction, ruining lives, all for the forces of evil and her own amusement gave the feline an inflated ego- a goddess complex. With each evil act she helped cause, her satisfaction grew, until she could see herself doing nothing but this devastation. When simply causing events to unfold from the realm known as Morbia got too boring, Mirage took to appearing for her victims, taunting and challenging them first-hand. Even going so far as to kill some of them with her bare hands.
Her actions, of course, upset the wise cyclops Phasir and any forces of justice, but nobody stood up to her reign of terror for quite some time; in fact, they let her be, giving her the feeling that she was completely untouchable. That was, until he interfered. It was a simple burning of a village, something petty that she'd had done a thousand times over. Nothing was supposed to go wrong with it, but that irritating Aladdin decided to interfere. At first, Mirage didn't think much of him, beyond the fact he would be an interesting challenge- something different, to break up the monotony of being unopposed. She didn't think he would do well against her at all...and so, when he wound up besting her, Mirage was fairly irritated. She let him go the first time, determined to crush his spirit and prove to him the futility of his actions in the grand scheme of things.
She went to some great lengths to do this- tricking Chaos into terrorizing Agrabah, trying to destroy Aladdin and Jasmine's love, and also trying to destroy Agrabah on numerous accounts. Each and every time, Aladdin and his friends managed to throw her for a loop; usually by turning her own ploy against her. Mirage has, as result, developed an obsession and deep-rooted loathing for Aladdin, his allies, and Agrabah. She vows to destroy them all someday, and she has eternity to do so. In the meantime, while plotting her next strike against them, Mirage has more than enough time to cause chaos with others. She's always looking for innocence to destroy, happiness to take away, people to torment and manipulate..such is the life of a feline elemental/demoness.
ROLE PLAYING SAMPLE: (from another site I used to play her at, before i had to leave it thanks to school and work. thank god for summerrrr and newer forums!)
It was a beautiful day in Agrabah, at least by the desert city's standards. Though the sun was high in it's afternoon perch in the sky, the rays were nowhere near the scorching level most residents were used to. If the sun ever got to be too much, there was the odd cloud here or there to provide comfort to weary travelers. Even a distant, cool breeze drifted in from the west- as if the weather itself chose to be accommodating and peaceful to a city that saw so much strife.
Ah yes, it was gorgeous out. Everybody was frolicking merrily through the marketplace. Smiling, laughing, having silly, mundane little conversations about their pointless little lives. No monsters or villains rushing toward the palace seeking their furious vengeance. Nothing to disturb them; absolutely nothing out of place in their lives. For the first time in several days at least, everybody was happy.
Mirage hated happy.
Particularly if it was radiating out of the quaint, charming little city of Agrabah.
The feline elemental hissed, infuriated to no end at what she was seeing. Oh sure, it had all seemed bad enough from Morbia; what she had witnessed through that crystal ball of hers enough to cause her stomach to twist in absolute disgust. But it was worse in person. So, sooo much worse! Her hatred had only ignited at seeing all the happy people, hearing all their boring little conversations! Something had to be done.
And so it would, if Mirage had anything to say about it.
"Enjoy this while you can," she muttered under her breath. "For soon, you will be screaming in fear; your lives turned absolutely upside down!"
She paused for a moment, catching wind of a particularly disgusting conversation about how much a random person had gained in their lives the past few weeks. Scrunching her nose, she frowned, making a mental note that this person was to be placed somewhere on her list. A top priority when it came to who needed to take a fall; right under that insufferable Aladdin and his friends.
"...Some of you should be thanking me", she seethed spitefully. Honestly, this was terrible! If any place and people deserved her wrath, it was Agrabah. Apparently, all the other villains were jokes. Mirage scoffed at the thought of them, fully aware she wasn't the only one set on this place's demise.
...But then, she was the only one capable of actually causing some damage. Or so the egotistical feline told herself. In Mirage's mind, no other compared- no other creature, and certainly no other magic user. She'd had centuries to brood schemes; years upon years to stalk various adversaries until exhaustion finally claimed them. Pah, Agrabah was nothing special..It was such a tiny, dingy, poor little city in comparison to entire empires her magic had crippled.
..And yet, somehow it always managed to escape her evil entirely unscathed. That, more than anything, burned her up. Mirage could try and convince herself it was simply the disgusting level of cheer in the air that brought her here- but it ran deeper. She was obsessed, really. She couldn't fathom it; how a street rat turned royalty and a poor, dirty little city in the middle of the desert could defeat her. She could never accept it, and yet she had to. That was why she wanted to wipe this place off the face of the earth, because it threatened her and everything she stood for.
Mirage hissed again at the thought, tempted to slip out of her disguise and appear as she really was; in all her glory, a flash of lightning and every bit of theatrics she could pull. But no, no...It wouldn't do well. Not this time, not right away that was. She would start her chaos subtly, until it got too boring. Then she would go into the melodramatics- all in order to cause fear and suffering.
As it was, she was blending in..For the moment at least. Her appearance was that of a pretty young woman- nothing too special, but not entirely hideous either. She wore common garb, and passed herself off as a simple vendor- selling professed healing items to those foolish enough to buy into her cons. Money was unimportant to the disgusted elemental of course. The real fun was to be had in her little items. Whatever the problem was, it didn't matter..They were magic creams that would make things worse, depending on how badly the person using them wanted to be cured of whatever ailment. If they just wanted to cure minor aches and pains, it wouldn't be too terrible...but if they were desperate, ohh...then their suffering would be deliciously intense.
Mirage could sense it when it happened, even if they had left the marketplace by the time they used it. Their morbid screams and torture were the only things keeping her from going entirely insane at the moment. Too bad she couldn't gloat just yet. Oh, she wanted to...But none of these fools knew anything of the demoness that walked amongst them. How could they? They were blind to magic. It would take another magic-user, or simply somebody with enough brains to pay attention, to figure out who and what she was.
Irritated by the lack of people coming to suffer at her stall, Mirage conjured up a miniature image of the city- something that nobody seemed to notice. Not that it surprised her, in this dim bulb of a town. Glowering down at it, she caused illusions of the citizens walking about to appear in her town. No illusion was complete without victims, was it? Even if it wasn't real. Glaring at it for a second longer, she brought her clawed hands down onto it- smashing the illusion, and the fake little people within; delighted at least by the minor, tiny screams of pain that came with that action. Which also were ignored, amongst the hustle and bustle.
Her lips curled upward in a sneer at that fact. At how blind they were to their fate- something similar, or perhaps far more terrifying- then what their illusionary counterparts had faced.
"I'm going to enjoy seeing this city stained with blood."
She purred at the thought.
