The Horned King has no hair, unless horns count. Protruding from his hood are not two, but four horns. The two larger horns are the most noticeable, curved slightly back with an extra point. One could say that the horns resemble thorns more then normal antlers. The two smaller ones are in front of the two larger ones. Other then this, the Horned King has no hair. He probably did once when and if he was human.
If you were to describe the Horned King's face, it would be with one word: Skeletal. Even though his face is skeletal, it is still covered with flesh. The skin shows that he is very old. You may
have seen a scar or two, but they are hardly noticeable. The Horned King has twelve teeth(Six on the lower jaw and six on the upper jaw) altogether, eight of which are sharp and fang-like. I'll just say that you wouldn't want to stick your finger in his mouth.. Having a face that resembles a skull, it is very difficult to tell what exactly the Horned King's mood or expression is, but if you were to look close enough you might be able to tell. The flesh on his face still gives him the ability to raise the eyebrows and you may even be able to tell if he is grinning, even though he has no visible lips. When he is angry or very stressed, his eyes will go crimson and it only goes away when he calms down. Eyes will glow when he is excited as well.
The Horned King is usually seen wearing a long red cloak with hood and a long fur stole which is held by a golden clasp. The Stole is of a dark brown color and was probably from the pelt of a wolf or bear.
He is quite tall(standing to at least 7 feet tall) and looks both humanoid yet skeletal at the same time, with horns protruding from his head; Two smaller ones and two larger ones that have more of an 'antlery' appearance. Body appears to be made of flesh and muscle. Even though his face is also made from flesh, it appears more skeletal. Skin color is of a rotten olive-green shade. The most noticeable feature being the horns, obviously

The best words to describe the Horned King's personality is: Ruthless, cruel and dark and is often called a 'Black-Hearted Devil' or a 'Joke on humanity' and is feared and despised by all in Prydain, even by his own henchmen. The Horned King holds little to no emotion for his human henchmen and has plans of disposing them once he obtains the Black Cauldron. He also often strangles Creeper with no retorts what so ever and doesn't care if it was Creeper's fault or not. He has also found strangling poor Creeper quite stress relieving. Another stress relieving pass-time is riddles. The Horned King enjoys riddles.
Other then this, the Horned King is calm but at the same time very stressed. The long years of searching for the Black Cauldron has caused him to have delusions of godhood and has also left him detached from society, humanity and maybe even reality. The thought of searching for something that had never existed in the first place torments him greatly and not having found any traces of it further adds up to the stress. However, he does not want anyone to know that he is stressed and hides it from everyone. There are times when he has entered into a rage fit due to stress. Usually it happens if strangling Creeper hadn't worked when it comes to stress relief. Whenever this happens, it's best to steer clear as you do not want to be caught in one of his rage fits..
The Horned King also has a fear toward Mirrors. He had heard of a magic mirror created by the Fair Folk of Prydain which could possibly be used as a weapon against him; A Mirror that would reveal the Horned King's true inner self
The Horned King isn't exactly sure why, but he has a certain hatred toward the Black Cauldron.

The Horned King was not always as he was now, oh no. Long ago he was human once and was once the huntsmen, champion and war leader of Arawn, Death-Lord of Annuvin, and was the strongest of Arawn's minions. Back when he was a human, he wore an antlered skull mask(Which earned him his name as 'The Horned King') and a long red cape. He was armored, save for both of his arms which were stained crimson. Other then this, the rest of the Horned King's past remains a mystery; Family, Childhood, Friends and (If he had any)Loved Ones have long since been forgotten..
It is unknown as to whatever happened to the Horned King after Arawn was vanquished. Rumors say that he become a powerful sorcerer while others say that he had died serving him. There were others that also said that Arawn killed him, thinking that the Horned King would one day become so powerful that he could possibly overthrow him, so Arawn placed a curse upon the Horned King so that he would die instantly should anyone speak his name to him and eventually poisoned him.
Either way, the Horned King was not seen or heard from again for at least 108 years, in which he came back as something that was definately not human. No one knows what it is or where it came from, but the people of Prydain could only assume that this creature was in fact the Horned King, and it was searching for the Black Cauldron.
For so long he searched for the Black Cauldron. Searching and conquering the kingdoms of Prydain. It came to the point where the Horned King was close to the point of being driven mad. Was this Black Cauldron merely a rumor? Had he been searching for something that does not exist? He had to find it, even if he had to burn down all Prydain or the worlds beyond. He would find it even if it took him till the end of time. But the thought of searching for something that never existed tormented him greatly..
More years of searching. More years of getting close to the possibility of finding the Black Cauldron only to have it all slip away. After a few more years of searching, he retreated to Annuvin once again to rest, but this time, It seemed that there were creatures there that had made their home in Annuvin. Creatures that had the ability of taming and training the winged, dragon-like Gwythaints. These small, slender green-skinned creatures might prove useful to the Horned King and so, he recruited one of these Gwythaint-Tamers who went by the name of Creeper. Creeper, although a bit incompetent, proved quite useful thanks to the ability of training the Gwythaints, which acted as the Horned King's spies.. The Horned King also realized that it was very stress relieving when you have something to strangle..
A few years after recruiting Creeper, he had found out that the Fair Folk had created a weapon that would be used against him; A Magic Mirror which would reveal the Horned King's true inner self. With this knowledge, the Horned King then developed a disliking and a possible fear toward mirrors.
Instead of killing everyone in towns and small villages, the Horned King had began taking a few prisoners to see if they knew of something that would help his search for the Black Cauldron. Those who had no knowledge on what could possibly help him were tortured until they gave him an answer. If not, they were simply killed. If they did.. Once they told him of possible ways that could help him in his search for the Black Cauldron, the Horned King would presumably release these prisoners and set them free, but they were simply food for the Gwythaints..
The Horned King had eventually gotten information of two possible ways to help him in his search for the Black Cauldron thanks to the prisoners; These possibilities were that of a Magic Bauble and an Oracular Pig..
First, the Horned King went after the Bauble. The Bauble was a 'companion' of Princess Eilonwy and often followed her wherever she would go. The Horned King sat out with his henchmen to find Eilonwy while Creeper had the Gwythaints search for the Oracular Pig..
The Horned King found Eilonwy(Whom he mistook for a scullery maid and chose to call her that) but alas, the Bauble was no help at all. Luckily for him, things were beginning to look better for him. Not long after he returned to the castle, the Gwythaints had captured the Oracular Pig which was under the care of Dallben, the old enchanted of Caer Dallben, who had sent his assistant pig-keeper Taran out to hide the pig. Now that the pig was in the Horned King's possession, it was now time to test this pig's ability to create visions..
However, the assistant pig-keeper who went by the name of Taran had followed the Gwythaints to the Horned King's castle and interrupted the celebration by falling down from the ceiling. The Horned King instructed Taran to have Hen Wen show him the location of the Black Cauldron, but Taran refused. After giving the order to carry out the execution of the Oracular Pig, Taran finally agreed. Before the full location was given away, Taran had splashed the water into the Horned King's eyes and he tried to make his escape with the pig. Fortunately, Taran was captured. Unfortunately, the pig had escaped..
The next day, Creeper came to the Horned King and reported that Taran, along with Princess Eilonwy and a wandering minstrel called Fflewddur Fflam(Who came to the wrong place at the wrong time) had escaped. This proved quite useful for the Horned King as Taran could lead him to the pig again and so, had Creeper send the Gwythaints(And the other henchmen) out to follow them..
The Horned King's henchmen and the Gwythaints had found the group of would-be heroes within the swamps of Morva and they were once again brought back to the Horned King's castle, but they had found no Oracular Pig. Instead, it seemed they had found something even better. When Creeper told the Horned King what it was that they had found however, the Horned King was furious..
They had found the Black Cauldron. They were the ones to find it in over 2000 years..
The Horned King had spent so many years searching for it, only to have a simple pig boy, scullery maid and a broken down minstrel find it instead of him? He wanted to be the first to find the Black Cauldron! Still, it was now in his possession. It existed. He would finally harness the powers within. He would also make sure that Taran, Eilonwy and Fflewddur would regret being the first to find the Black Cauldron..
The Horned King wasted little time in activating the Black Cauldron's power and soon, the Cauldron-Born would set out and fulfill their destiny; to destroy all living things. Now that the Cauldron-Born were reanimated, the Horned King no longer had use for his human henchmen. They were either killed by the Cauldron-Born or were fortunate enough to run away..
Alas, the Horned King's victory was short lived, however..
Something had happened. Something that caused the Cauldron-Born to become inanimate once again. Apparently Taran, Eilonwy and Fflewddur Fflam weren't the only ones that were searching for the Black Cauldron. They were accompanied by a cowardly creature called Gurgi, who had previously avoided capture, snuck into the castle and had freed the others. Gurgi however, chose to sacrifice his own life by leaping into the Black Cauldron instead of Taran. But when the Horned King returned to the chamber where the ritual was performed, he found Taran instead. Creeper suggested it was Taran's fault that the Black Cauldron's power failed. The Horned King believed Creeper and went after Taran..
It seemed the Black Cauldron wanted another soul. After throwing Taran toward the Black Cauldron, believing that it would be him to satisfy the Black Cauldron's hunger for another soul, the Horned King tried to make his escape but he found that he himself was being pulled closer and closer toward the Black Cauldron. It was then that another memory came back to him; As the Horned King looked back at the Black Cauldron, he saw the face engraved on the front of the cauldron glowing red. At that moment, the memories of serving Arawn came back.. Memories of being treated almost like how the Horned King treats Creeper..
The Horned King Struggled to keep himself from being consumed by the Black Cauldron, but it was to no avail. Eventually he succumbed to the Black Cauldron's power; It felt as though his insides were being boiled and red-hot iron knives were stabbing him at every inch of his body as the Cauldron tore through him, tearing the flesh from his bones and ripping the very life from his body ever so slowly..
The Horned King was consumed by the Black Cauldron..
The Horned King was gone and peace returned to Prydain. Was it the pure heart of Gurgi that tried saving Taran from the Horned King? Or was the evil spirit within the Black Cauldron not done with the Horned King? Either way, the Horned King was not dead. He would find a way to escape the Black Cauldron, and should he return, terror and strife would return as well..

ROLE PLAYING SAMPLE:
How long had it been? How long had it been since he'd set foot in Prydain?
The Horned King was unable to keep track as to how long he was trapped within the Black Cauldron. The severe amount of pain he had to endure made it impossible. To him, time simply had no meaning anymore. He was unable to do anything except.. Suffer.
Even as he wandered through this dark forest, he could still feel the pain, like hot needles. Blades at every inch of his body. Breathing in the ashes of a burning village. Wrists and ankles chained by chains that glowed a bright crimson..
Those scars would be forever permanent. True, he looked the same as he had before the Cauldron took him, but these scars were not inflicted on his body. The memory of his imprisonment within the Black Cauldron, the very thing he sought after. Those memories will forever haunt him, just as the cries of those who died by his hand had haunted him..
He hated that wretched Cauldron. But the need to have control over the powers it possesses. One would think that after being trapped within the very thing that he sought after for so long, he would want nothing more to do with it. But he still wanted it.. That hunger for power still remained, even after his escape.
That thirst for becoming a god among mortal men..
He will find it.. He will find the Cauldron, and the Pig-Keeper that robbed him of his victory. Yes.. He will find him, and he will beg for death before the end!
